OBAMACARE LAWSUIT: Video Update re Last Friday’s Federal Court Hearing

OBAMACARE: Video Update (below) filmed outside the Virginia Courthouse, right after Friday’s Federal Court Hearing on 10/22/10 re the DOJ’s Motion To Dismiss this private party lawsuit against ObamaCare:

Sounds hopeful!  They now have to wait for Judge Moon’s decision.

I waited to send this email thinking Liberty Counsel might do a written update Monday/yesterday, but nothing so far.  They did send the further-below email late Friday with link to an audio file but it doesn’t work from iphone — not sure what audio file format they use at their site.  So I checked their YouTube channel & found the above video.

Since I love to “play” (create), I also made on iphone (what I think) is a “fun” slideshow (with video clips included) re Staver vs. ObamaCare.  It looks great on iphone but because it is 27+ minutes & 1.1gig (uncompressed), it is “stuck” in the “Reel Director” iphone app (w/a copy in phone’s camera roll) because it is too big to email, & too big to upload to youtube, & too big to even zap via MMS text messaging to my sis who also has an iphone.  :-(

Since I see me doing more such “fun” endeavors in the future, I’m seeking a solution! … ie, iphone apps & sites that will let you upload from iphone to sites that host longer/bigger slideshows/videos than what youtube allows.  Will be posting more about that (one of these days) at

If anybody knows of any such apps & sites, please do let me know (TPR @ Posterous & Amplify have Comment sections: Posterous no log in required; Amplify requires log in for Comments).

I have not compressed my new “creation” because I hear compression kills quality, & it looks great & crystal clear as is (uncompressed), so I’m chicken to compress it yet.

(FWIW, with “Reel Director” app, you can add background music to your slideshow &/or video, but you need iPhone 4 & wifi (I think), & I only have iPhone 3Gs & no wifi.  Hence, a “silent slideshow” with “live” videos added in various frames.  Still it’s cute, imnho! :)

Subject: I just left Federal District Court and our ObamaCare hearing

Liberty Counsel
Mathew Staver, Founder/Chairman

My staff and I just left the courtroom after presenting oral arguments before a U.S. District Court Judge in Virginia in our case to have Obama-Care ruled unconstitutional.

As promised, I have recorded an important audio message for all Liberty Counsel team members about our showdown in court today. You will be among the first to hear what happened inside that courtroom.

Go here to access my special report for Liberty Counsel team members on today’s ObamaCare court hearing:

(Whatever audio format they use, it didn’t work on iphone, so I found their video at youtube instead.  See top of this email.)

During today’s arguments, I was very much aware that this battle will be one of the most difficult we have faced here at Liberty Counsel. It is clear that the Obama Justice Department is taking our case very seriously. And the Department of Justice (DOJ) has virtually unlimited human resources and a budget of over $26 billion!

Of course, Liberty Counsel cannot compete with the “deep pockets” of the federal government. It is also true that our budget has been stressed by this case and many other vital efforts under way right now. But today’s hearing has only increased my determination to do everything in our
power to stop ObamaCare from being implemented.  The Obama administration’s political will to force healthcare “reform” on the American people – whether it is constitutional or not – gives us reason to believe they intend to take this battle to the next level.

We simply cannot fight a battle as significant as this one without the faithful and generous support of friends like you.

Would you prayerfully consider making a tax-deductible gift today to support the work of Liberty Counsel as we answer the challenge of this historic ObamaCare case while continuing other vital efforts in defense of life, liberty and family?  Go here to help and to listen to my audio message:

As always, THANK YOU for all you do as a key member of theLiberty Counsel team!

God bless you,
Mathew Staver, Founder/Chairman

PS:  Resending because there was a goof up re the autoposting settings at Amplify so it can autopost to Posterous.  Whew!  (Don’t use caps in your emails or username at Amplify!  It will tell you Wrong/Error! when it really isn’t, same words but simply with caps!)

One response to “OBAMACARE LAWSUIT: Video Update re Last Friday’s Federal Court Hearing

And, FWIW: Since late August 2010 I had to switch from posting emails directly to Posterous, to autoposting from Amplify-to-Posterous due to the Posterous blog platform incessantly making a disaster of direct-emails sent to it. After Posterous finally admitted publicly on 7/17/10 in their Help section that their system cannot handle “text conversions” & “differences in formatting” with emails, I went searching for another email-blog platform & found the fairly new Amplify.com, which has no problem posting emails correctly > except for the excessive white space they add to all emails.Still looking for the perfect homebase for email-blogging! but Amplify-to-Posterous autoposting will have to do for now.
