This is really bad how they constantly want to sneak things through Congress right before holidays… A tradition dating back to at least December 1913! Well, they are at it again this week with their desire to have a wide open gay policy in the military…

As I write, ultraliberal House and Senate leaders are rushing to pass legislation revoking the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) policy from our military and further forcing their
radical, pro-homosexual social engineering on our culture.
Just yesterday, leaders from the White House, the homosexual
activist community and the leadership of the 111th Congress announced a so-called “Repeal Deal” they believe will get this bill through – and their goal is to clear two key
legislative hurdles THIS WEEK.
Why is this issue of open homosexuality in the military so
crucially important? To have a strong military, there must be unit cohesion, order, discipline and high morale.
History and common sense have proven that open homosexuality
destabilizes the military and weakens military readiness.
But now we are bracing for a House floor vote any day. This will be followed by a key Senate committee vote. And both votes are being pushed this week so that Congress can move this controversial measure forward…and then skip town for the week-long Memorial Day break!
Once again, it’s the classic “Obama push” in action!
This is how Obama, Pelosi and Reid like to do business. First, they diffuse the issue and say, “no legislation is
imminent” (in this case, they misled Americans by promising to study DADT for a full year before coming to a conclusion). Then, with little or no warning, they ram their agenda
through Congress in the compressed timetable leading up to a scheduled recess!
++This is radical, anti-family social engineering at its worst.
Revoking DADT is no small policy change. As you probably know, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is really a misnomer. In 1993 Congress overwhelmingly REJECTED President Clinton’s proposal to allow open homosexuality in the military and
passed a law clearly stating that openly practicing homosexuals ARE NOT ELIGIBLE for military service.
The only compromise made in the bill was to drop the question about homosexuality that appeared on military induction forms.
Thus, the phrase “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” remained as a popular moniker.
That 1993 law codified a long-standing Defense Department
policy recognizing the military as a “specialized society” that is “characterized by forced intimacy with little or no privacy.” The law was designed to PROTECT “high standards of morale, good order and discipline, and unit cohesion
that are the essence of military capability.”
Now, using classic “misdirection” tactics (by falsely promising the issue would be thoroughly studied for at least a year), and in a mad rush to get momentum before the Memorial Day break, Obama and Congress want to restructure our military and further push the radical homosexual agenda on society!

These votes came up with virtually no warning and now we have just a few days to mount an initial grassroots response. Of course, that was the purpose of the Administration’s
deceitful tactic – to remove your and my voice from the process!

We are at a crossroads regarding our U.S. military’s effectiveness in this time of war. To disrupt their mission with a major policy change on such a sensitive issue for political purposes would be absolutely wrong on many levels.
