That fellow Christian experienced the EQ in VA-DC-NY yesterday 8/23/11. Her conclusion:

I say: Why can’t it be both? The greatest Conspirator of all time is Satan himself. The Lord has his servants on the earth & the Devil has his. It’s not rocket science to grasp that. Just because the Lord predicted EQs, famines, pestilences, roaring of the seas, etc. does not mean HE is causing them. He won’t “shake the foundations of the earth” until His wrath is poured out beginning mid-Trib.

Currently His GRACE is still being poured out, “until the fullness of the Gentiles come in.” It would be hypocritical of the Lord to be offering grace to all of mankind & at the same time poisoning & pounding them with chemtrails, “natural disasters,” Katrina, tsunamis, EQs, volcanos, fires, etc., as He is so often accused of doing even by Christians. Too often God gets a really bad rap when it is the Human Conspirators & their “lord”/Lucifer causing these events.
Satan is the “prince of the power of the air” (atmosphere) & is the “spirit that operates in the sons of disobedience”:
•It was the Devil who brought about the whirlwind that caused the house to collapse & kill all of Jobs’ children.
•It is the Devil providing wicked men with knowledge for their “evil inventions” for the goal of destroying mankind & the earth (Rev. 11:18).
