So the loud “booms” are nothing new per this April 1978 Science Digest article written after a wave of booms were heard & felt from late 1977 through early 1978 along the entire Atlantic coastline!
Very interesting. I was in Colorado during those ’77-’78 years; however, 2005 was The Year of Many Boom Boom Booms across the South: Prior TPR posts re those supposedly pre-EQ booms:
